Born in Texas, the home of where many great musicians are made, Bret
has over 25 years of
playing experience. His training in classical
guitar prepared him for playing
just about anything you
send
his way.
His playing experience ranges from classical to jazz
to the blues to funk, and even heavy
metal. In fact,
many fans have referred his guitar expertise as, "One of the best
in Orlando!" Bret
modestly denies this,
but the rest of the band tends to agree with our fans.
Bret
has always
been a bit of a technical wizard,which is why at age 21, he
became the sound man and
lead guitar player for, "Special
Blend," a contemporary pop band. They played
in several
central Florida nightclubs from 1988 to 1990. After that, Bret continued with his music while earning his degree
in
Computer Science and, shortly thereafter, he became a computer network manager for a
local
engineering
firm.
In 1999, Bret helped establish Neon Dream band with Judi and Pedro and
he is
as
passionate
about
the
band's
success today as
he was on day one, when we were paid
$40 to play
at
a
local
coffee shop.
Bret says, "It's never been about the money, it's about
making
music
and
seeing
the audience getting
into your sounds!"
