Music and performing
arts are tradition in Judi's family. Brought up by
parents who both sing and play
the guitar,
Judi recalls falling "in-love" with singing at
a very early age. While born in Ann Arbor, Michigan,
she has lived most of her
life
as a Floridian.
She and her three sisters were raised in Pensacola, Florida,
which is where Judi began taking violin
lessons
and classical ballet
at age seven.
As a performing artist, Judi played in her school orchestra and was a troupe
member
of
the Elvie Demarko Ballet Company for 9 years.
She has a B.A.
in Communications from Randolph-Macon
Woman's College, Lynchburg, Virgina
and
an A.S. in Computer Graphic Design
from Valencia Community College, Orlando, Florida.
Still, singing has always been Judi's greatest passion. Some of her favorite artists are: Joan Baez,
Ann Wilson (Heart)
and John Fogerty (CCR).
Judi
has an avid love for folk music and
writes her music
in much the same style.
When asked, "What
is one of the greatest gifts you've ever received?",
she
will say without resolve, "It is my ability
to tell the world
about experience through song."
For this reason, Judi did not hesitate to help establish Neon Dream band in 1999.
When
not making music, Judi works for Orange County Government Communications as a Multimedia/Special Projects Coordinator.
