TERRY BRENNAN
BASS GUITAR/LEAD & BACK-UP VOCALS
Terry Brennan’s illustrious music career began in Raleigh, NC during the 70’s, where he learned guitar
and formed
his first high school band, “Skydog Spectre.” Quickly progressing musically, he took a hiatus
from college to play
music
full time, playing guitar in various cover bands throughout the Southeast.
One night, while on tour, the band’s
bassist suddenly and unexpectedly resigned. So Terry was elected by
the rest of the band to play bass that night. “I kinda fudged
my way through that gig!,” Terry says,
“but found that I had a natural talent for the bass.
So I kept at it, and Bass became my main instrument.”
Continuing his musical career, Terry played bass in a number of bands throughout the 80’s and 90’s,
including a
stint
with "Mojo Collins and the Cheap Bluz Band" (where he played at the New Orleans
Jazz & Heritage Festival)
and
a Country/Rock band called, "Silverado."
Taking a break from the music business, Terry went back to college, got his degree, and concentrated
on his career
as a Software Engineer. Eventually, he and his family settled in the Orlando area, and
soon
the “music bug” caught
up
with him again! After an extensive search for “just the right situation,” Terry
was introduced to Neon Dream in 2008. “Auditioning for Neon Dream was like a revelation to me,” Terry says, “The magic was thick in the room, and
I knew right away that this was THE band for me!" The rest of band felt the same way about him, especially when we heard how well he played the bass and his
vocals. With Terry on board, Neon Dream will continue as one of the the best party bands in Orlando!
