Wil picked up the guitar at the tender age of 12. He modestly says he should be better by now, but his seasoned resume says otherwise. Influenced by bands such as Zeppelin, Metallica, and Pantera, Wil honed his chops on the heavier side; until one day a friend played a 'blues' song for him. The year was 1990, and the song was Testify by SRV. From then on Wil consumed everything he could about blues, rock, and metal. Not to be constrained by any one genre, he took to the 80's pop scene listening to Oingo-Boingo, Duran Duran, Toto, and Ah-Ha.
Wil's first music experience came with the Pep Band in his High School near Seattle, WA. This got his name out as a guitarist, and two years later he was a founding member of LMNOP (a heavy rock cover band) with some High School buddies. Wil broke off from there to found Skasmopolitan. This 9 piece high energy Ska band brought attacted lots of fans. They recorded a couple demos, and soon the labels were calling. After releasing their debut CD (Currently #1,324,750 in Music on Amazon!), Wil was tapped to join PoorSport, a power-pop/punk band from Seattle. Poorsport became a hit, and Wil was blessed to play some larger shows, including 3 Van's Warped Tours. Sharing shows with such bands as Green Day, No Doubt, NOFX, The Vandals, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. It's even rumored that he once opened up for Flock of Seagulls, but if you ask him he will deny it.
Wil moved to the Central Florida area in 2006, and met Ted Moseley playing in a company sponsored band. From there he and Moseley formed Coin Operated, and then wound up in the rockin-est band in the entire 32*** zip block! Neon Dream!
Wil earned not one, not two, but three BS degrees from P.L.U. (Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science). Even as a brainiac, he's a cool dude rocker. When not rocking out, Wil's second job is a Sr. Engineer for a local EVIL Defense Contractor (MWA AH AH!) were he architects Ninja Software. Don't worry though, these systems ARE green, they run on the tears of baby seals.
